Job search trends you need to know in 2022

After a challenging few years with ongoing coronavirus pandemicSocial conditions have taken a knock-on effect on the job market, with many companies closing their doors or turning to a remote workforce, leaving many looking for new jobs.

We reached out to Sophie Milliken, Managing Director, SRS Recruitment and Employability Experts. He gave some expert advice on how to scale up your job search in 2022 and find a new position from the comfort of your home.

First, Sophie explains how the job search will change in 2022, as a result of which it will remain exclusively online. She suspects that more job seekers will seek remote work with greater flexibility.

She then confirms that the pandemic has paved the way for different work scenarios with greater flexibility. However, some employers may be willing to move back to an office space with a more collaborative environment.

SoFi provides key tips that will ensure you have a good profile for remote positions. She suggests that you think about the additional support you might need to enter a remote situation. Also, think about your work arrangements and how you can be productive from home.

For graduates looking for entry-level jobs, she suggests adding transferable and soft skills to your CV to showcase your strengths. It’s important to show resilience and prove that you can handle difficult situations and bounce back from them.
